ROSELINE NJERI KIGORI

I deserve to be nominated as a Community Hero because I am passionate about serving and uplifting my community through practical initiatives that improve people’s lives.
Through my initiative, THE GREEN MAMA KENYA GROUP, I advocate for good nutrition, hygiene, food security, environmental conservation and the empowerment of vulnerable women and children. I use my skills, time and resources to create awareness and encourage healthier and more dignified lives within the community, county and Kenya at large.
I have also initiated and supported activities such as nutrition awareness, hygiene education, menstrual health support, children’s mentorship and women’s income-generating opportunities. Through the GROUP, I promote healthy foods while creating opportunities for women to engage in income generating activities e.g fruit and juice selling to earn an income.
My motivation is not simply recognition, but service to humanity and creating positive change where I live. I believe a true community hero is someone who sees a need and takes action, inspires others and continues serving even when resources are limited.
Being recognized at the Murang’a Face Gala Awards would not only honour my efforts but also encourage me to reach more people and inspire others to become agents of positive change in their communities.
